Where do you live and what is your family's origin?
I have bounced around Italy for the past 4+ years, but I'm currently in Milan, Italy. I was born in California and have a completely European heritage, including grandparents from Italy.
What do you do for a living?
I work in advertising as a technical consultant for the web, and I freelance as a writer and photographer.
Where do you get your culinary inspiration from?
I started cooking with my mother when I was young - we were in a small town that didn't have a culture of going out to eat (or many good restaurants). Now, I look to my fellow bloggers and their wonderful pictures as well as what I see in restaurants and on the streets. I love trying anything!
where did your blog name come from and why did you start blogging?
When I first moved to Italy, I was not only single (thus the Ms.) but I was having a lot of misadventures and funny things happen, so it seemed a natural fit. I gravitated towards food blogging over several years since I love trying new foods, cooking, and talking about eating!
Whats your favorite thing about cooking?
Making mistakes. It's a good way to learn what not to do the next time, or if you get lucky, you get an entirely new dish that tastes good! I love experimenting.
Besides cooking what is something you like do on your spare time?
I love reading, but recently I am spending more time taking pictures - I am trying to practice even more with live subjects as I feel my still-life has plenty of practice with the food photography. It's definitely a challenge with moving subjects and different lighting.
