1 1/2 cups. Chocolate Cookie Crumbs

1 tsp. Almond Extract

3 Tbs. Butter or Margarine, melted

1 (21 oz.) can Cherry Pie filling

2 (8 oz.) pkgs. Cream Cheese, softened

2 (1 oz.) squares Unsweetened Chocolate, melted

3 eggs
-
1 (14 oz.) can Sweetened Condensed Milk (NOT Evaporated Milk)

3 Tbs. Cornstarch
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven 300 degrees F. In a small mixing bowl, combine crumbs and butter; press firmly on bottom of 9-inch springform pan.
- 2. In a small sauce pan over low heat, melt chocolate with sweetened condensed milk, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
- 3. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually add chocolate/ condensed milk mixture until smooth. Add eggs, cornstarch, and almond extract. Pour into prepared pan.
- 4. Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until center is set. Cool and chill.* Top with cherry pie filling before serving. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator.

This cheesecake can be topped with a berry pie filling as well; my favorite is strawberry. Try to find your favorite. * Preferably cool overnight, but allowing to cool completely before topping will work just as well.
