Ingredients:

1 ? cups whole milk

? cup heavy cream

? cup granulated sugar

Pinch of salt

1 cup DCD Single Origin Dark Chocolate Baking Bits

6 large egg yolks
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Sweetened whipped cream or frozen whipped topping, for garnish

Fresh berries, for garnish

DCD Cocoa Powder, for garnish
Instructions
- ) Place milk, cream, sugar, and salt into a large saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, whisking until the sugar is
- dissolved.
- 2) Remove the pan from the heat and add the chocolate baking bits. Let stand for 2 minutes, then whisk until smooth.
- 3) Whisk together the egg yolks and vanilla in a medium bowl. Slowly pour the milk mixture into the yolks, whisking constantly.
- 4) Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium-low heat, whisking frequently at first, then constantly when it
- begins to thicken; about 8 minutes, until the pudding thickens and leaves a path on the back of a spoon when a finger is drawn
- across it. DO NOT BOIL!
- 5) Pour pudding through a fine mesh strainer, and pour into 4-6 dessert bowls. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, until thoroughly
- chilled and set. Garnish with a dollop of sweetened whipped cream, fresh berries, and a sprinkle of cocoa powder. Enjoy!

* Tip* To prevent a skin from forming on the pudding when chilling, press a piece of plastic wrap lightly onto the surface of the pudding, creating a seal with the pudding and the plastic wrap. Remove plastic wrap after pudding
