Egg with hot and sweet sauce

My grandmother cooked for us when season for tomato. This food are quick and tasty. You can substitute meat with beef or chicken or you doesn't use it ;-) You can find some ingredients at asian store. source : my grandmother recipe

  •   - 2 pcs egg, hard boiled
  •   - 1 cup meat, thinly sliced
  •   - sugar
  •   - salt
  •   - soy sauce
  •   - oil for saute
  •   - 1 cup water
  •   - fried onion for garnish
  •   -- Sauce ingredients :
  •   - 4 clove shallot
  •   - 2 clove garlic
  •   - 4 pcs tomato
  •   - 2 pcs candlenut
  •   - 1/4 tbsp greater galingale
  •   - 1/2 tbsp ground ginger
  •   - 1 tsp sambal oeleg
  •   - 1/2 tbsp tamarind
  •   - cane sugar

Instructions

  1. Blended and finely pounded sauce ingedients.
  2. In a hot sauce pan under medium heat, with a little bit of oil, saute sauce ingredients for approx 10 minutes or until aromatic.
  3. Add meat, stirring occasionaly until cooked.
  4. Add egg, soy sauce, salt and sugar for taste. Saute then add water.
  5. Stirring occasionaly under low heat until sauce are more thick.
  6. Serve with garnish and steam rice.
