  • add   3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • add   3 tablespoons turmeric
  • add   4 cups onions
  • add   2 green peppers
  • add   6 cups vinegar
  • add   2 tablespoons mustard seeds
  • add   6 cups granulated sugar
  • add   2 red peppers
  • add   5 cups boiling water
  • add   8 large apples
  • add   1 head celery
  • add   2 tablespoons celery seeds
  • add   4 cups cucumbers
  • add   1 medium cauliflower
  • add   3/4 cup salt

Instructions

  1. Coarsely chop all vegetables.Cover with salt and boiling water; let stand 3 hours. Drain and rinse.To make pickling liquid, combine remaining ingredients in large stockpot, bring to a boil, add vegetables, return to boiling point, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.Pour in hot sterilized jars and seal at once.
  2. Makes app. 12 (1 pint) jars.
  3. Chop vegetables in the food processor using Pulse mode.
