  • add   water
  • add   2 tablespoons toasted almonds
  • add   1 small cucumber
  • add   1 anaheim pepper
  • add   2 lbs very ripe tomatoes
  • add   salt
  • add   1 medium onion
  • add   2 cloves garlic
  • add   3 tablespoons breadcrumbs (about)
  • add   3 tablespoons olive oil (about)
  • add   3 tablespoons red wine vinegar (about)


  1. Reserve one tomato, 1/4 of the onion, a small piece of the pepper and 1/4 of the cucumber for garnish.
  2. Chop finely and mix.
  3. Put all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.
  4. Serve chilled, garnished with reserved vegetables, and croutons if desired.
