Ham and Swiss Casserole

  • add   1 3/4 cups grated parmesan cheese
  • add   7 1/2 cups diced cooked ham
  • add   3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • add   7 (6 1/2 ounce) cans mushrooms
  • add   2 tablespoons milk
  • add   1 3/4 cups milk
  • add   15 eggs
  • add   3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • add   2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • add   7 1/2 cups diced swiss cheese
  • add   7 1/2 teaspoons salt (I would cut that back taste then deside)
  • add   3 3/4 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • add   7 1/2 cups chopped onions
  • add   15 cups egg noodles


  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  2. Add egg noodles and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  3. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  4. Toss drained noodles with 2 teaspoons of the oil.
  5. Heat remaining oil in a skillet and saute onion over medium heat until soft.
  6. Combine noodles, onion, mushrooms, ham, Swiss cheese, salt and pepper.
  7. Transfer to a greased 3 quart casserole dish.
  8. In a bowl mix together egg and milk; pour over noodle mixture.
  9. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes.
