Hot & Sour Bamboo Shoots Soup

Ingredients [?] Change Serving Size Add all ingredients to Shopping List

  •   2 cup chicken broth or water
  •   1/2 cup bamboo shoots, sliced
  •   1 cup Firm Tofu, sliced
  •   2 cloves garlic, minced
  •   50 gr garlic, minced
  •   2 tbsp soy sauce
  •   2 tbsp sweet & sour sauce or substitute with tomato ketchup
  •   1 green onion, thinly sliced
  •   1 green chili/jalapeno or substitute with black pepper
  •   an egg
  •   salt
  •   olive oil

Instructions

  1. Add a bit of olive oil in a pan to saute garlic, onion and green chili under medium heat for approx 2 mins.
  2. Put step 1 ingredients into a big pan with water or chicken broth, add soy sauce and sweet&sour sauce.
  3. Add bamboo shoots+ tofu, stir it well and continue to cooking for approx 5 mins or until water are boiled.
  4. Add salt for taste.
  5. In a bowl, put an egg, shake well with fork, then pour into a pan with hout soup.
  6. Turn off the heat, soup are ready to serve and put green onion on top :-)
