When i read the label of nonfat or low fat or any yogurt purchased from store. I realized the amount of sugar Or sodium .. now you can trust a good product made in your own home without worry of all that extra sugar 0r salt. I got this recipe from my sister in Boca with few changes of my own.
- pour the gallon of milk in one large double boiler pot over med heat.
- bring to boil.
- let cool to body temp.
- spoon the yogurt in 4 corner of the pot & 1 spoon in center of the pot very gently.
- wrap towel around the pot .place the pot in the study warm room temp like inside the oven .place more towel around the pot.. after 24 hr.. drain the extra water from the yogurt inside a clean cheese cloth for 4-5 hrs.place in container.place in refrigerate for your future use.
- 1 gallon makes about 4 qt.
