Ingredients [?] Add all ingredients to Shopping List

  •   1/2 cup butter or margarine
  •   2 tablespoons tequila
  •   2 teaspoons seasoned salt
  •   1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
  •   2 envelopes instant margarita mix (from 3 1/3-oz package)
  •   4 cups Corn Chex cereal
  •   3 cups Rice Chex cereal
  •   2 cups Wheat Chex cereal
  •   1 cup Cerrios cereal
  •   1 cup mixed nuts
  •   1 cup bite-size pretzel twists

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 250?F.
  2. In ungreased large roasting pan, melt butter in oven. Stir in tequila, seasoned salt, red pepper and dry margarita mix.
  3. Stir in cereals, nuts and pretzels until evenly coated.
  4. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Let cool for 15 minutes.
  5. Serve in Margarita Glasses rimmed with salt.

For each birthday I always make a chocolate party cake based on a Jamie Oliver recipe. It is simple, but not quick. You have to take about 3 steps to finish it with more than an hour interval. (1) Make two cakes, cool down. (2) Put stuffing in between and (3) cover with chocolate. To make it even more special (4) decorate!
