  • add   1 jalapeño pepper (optional), sliced (wear rubber gloves)
  • add   1 tomato\raw, chopped
  • add   4-1/4 cups tortilla chips
  • add   1 small onion\cooked
  • add   1 lb. ground beef
  • add   1/2 cup salsa
  • add   11 oz. cans condensed cheddar cheese soup


  1. Combine soup and salsa in a saucepan and set aside. Heat a heavynonstick skillet over medium high heat. Sauté beef and onion untilbeef is browned and onion is tender, stirring to separate meat. Spoonoff fat. Add 1/2 cup soupmixture. Reduce heat to medium and heat through, stirringoccasionally. Heat remaining soup mixture over medium heat, stirringoccasionally. Arrange chips on a large serving platter and top withmeat mixture. Spoon soup mixture over meat. Top with tomato andpepper.
