  • add   1 cup candied cherries
  • add   1 cup flour
  • add   1 cup nuts
  • add   1 teaspoon baking soda
  • add   2 teaspoons butter
  • add   1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • add   1 cup persimmon pulp
  • add   1 cup raisins
  • add   1 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Cream together pulp, sugar, soda, butter and cinnamon.
  2. Add remaining ingredients, mix well.
  3. Pour into 11 1/2"x9"x2" greased baking dish.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 70-90 minutes .

Does it matter if the persimmons are right off the tree or frozen. I ask because I have been buying these really yummy frozen persimmons at a specialty grocery store and just eating them plain. Excited about the idea of cooking with them!
