  • add   1/2 head red cabbage
  • add   1/2 cup oil
  • add   1/2 cup plus two tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • add   3 tablespoons sugar
  • add   4 teaspoons salt
  • add   1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • add   1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • add   1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • add   1/4 teaspoon paprika


  1. Shred cabbage irregular with some fine and some course shreds. Mix well in bowl with all other ingredients and let stand in fridge for several hours or overnight to allow flavors to mellow and slaw to achieve deep red color.
