  • add   2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • add   1 cup all-purpose flour
  • add   orange zest (from 1 orange)
  • add   1/8 teaspoon salt
  • add   1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • add   1 egg
  • add   1 dash nutmeg (optional)
  • add   1 tablespoon sugar
  • add   1 tablespoon butter
  • add   5 cups fresh rhubarb
  • add   1 1/4 cups sugar
  • add   1/4 cup butter
  • add   1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar and cornstarch; mix well.
  2. Add rhubarb nutmeg(optional), butter and grated orange rind.
  3. Let stand 10 minutes.
  4. Place in 9x9 baking dish.
  5. Bake in 375F preheated oven for 10 minutes.
  6. Mix cobbler topping ingredients and.
  7. drop"blobs" of topping on fruit.
  8. Bake at 350F for 25 to 35 minutes.
  9. Serve warm.
