I had this easy everyday cooking recipe 10 years ago, everyone loves this chili..It's really delicious..

  •   1 1/2 Tbs butter
  •   1 medium white onions
  •   1 c. chopped green onions
  •   2 stalk celery- chopped
  •   1/2 green peper chopped
  •   1 1/2 clove garlic
  •   2 Tbs chili powder
  •   1 can 15oz corn, drained
  •   1 can 15oz stew tomotoes
  •   2 can 16oz chili beans
  •   5 small pototes,peeled and cut into halves
  •   2 c. water
  •   1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
  •   If you want to add one pound ground beef to make this a hearty chili..

Instructions

  1. melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat; add onions,green onions, celery, bell pepper and garlic, cook until tender..
  2. add chili powder, cook five mins
  3. add corn, tomotoes, chili beans, pototoes and water, simmer, covered for about 30 mins, or until pototes are tender.
  4. if u want to add ground beef, cook until brown, dash with garlic salt, black pepper, then turn over to the saucepan and let it cook for ten mins..
  5. when done, sprinkle with cheddar cheese and green onions if desire.
  6. serve with corn bread....It's so damn good !!!
