My grandmother who has spent more than 55 years in a wheelchair due to polio shared this simple recipe that is filling, flavorfull, and oh so simple!

Ingredients [?] Change Serving Size Add all ingredients to Shopping List

  •   1 lb ground beef (or turkey)- browned and drained
  •   1/2 small onion- chopped
  •   1 can diced tomatoes- UNdrained
  •   1 can whole kernel corn- drained
  •   1 large can tomato sauce
  •   1/2 tsp sugar
  •   1 can chili beans (or light red kidney beans)- drained
  •   1 packet of mild taco seasoning

Instructions

  1. Brown onion and meat in skillet and drain. Combine all ingredients into 4 qt crock pot and cook on high for at least 2 hours (or low for about 4 hours).
  2. Serve with shredded cheddar, crumbled tortilla chips, and a dallop of sour cream.
