after our thanksgiving this soup is to folow . a very healthy & delicious & tastey all in one pot.

  •   Thanks giving turkey left over meat & bones including the neck
  •   4 cups of chunk celery
  •   1 cup dry barley
  •   1 large dice onion
  •   1 can crush tomato with cilantro
  •   1/2 lb shreeded cabage
  •   lemonpepper to taste
  •   paprika totaste
  •   turmerick to taste
  •   1/2 cup orange juice
  •   1/2 cup chopped spinach
  •   1/4 cup chopped garlic
  •   1 cup diced carrots

Instructions

  1. In a large pot golden brown the chopped onion &garlic.
  2. add all the ingredients in the pot add hot water.cook for 30 min.
  3. add the seasoning ,lemon pepper , turmeric,& paprika
  4. to taste. cook for another 30 min. add water as need for thr right consistencey
  5. turn the stove off.
  6. take all the bones out.
  7. serve with craker or toasted flat or pitta bread

This came out of the Weight Watchers Cookbook but it is far from tasting like WW. It is 2 points for a one-cup serving and DELICIOUS. These veggies are great reheated or cold in pita bread for lunch with some hummus. They make a wonderful accompaniment to any meat or fish dish.
