hese burgers are truly delicious and because we are using lean ground turkey they are also low fat. I have added chopped mushrooms because they will keep the burgers nice and juicy and no one will even know that you have added them.

  • add   2 lbs. lean ground turkey
  • add   4 button mushrooms, chopped
  • add   1 tsp. organic GF ground garlic or 1 tbsp. minced garlic
  • add   1 tsp. organic GF ground sweet paprika
  • add   1 tbsp. organic GF apple cider
  • add   4 whole grain buns, (I use Udi’s GF whole grain hamburger buns, they are dairy, soy and nut free)
  • add   4 button mushrooms, chopped
  • add   ½ tsp. Organic GF oregano or 1 tsp. organic fresh oregano chopped
  • add   1 tsp. sea salt
  • add   4 slices of hard cheese (optional)
  • add   1 tsp. grape seed oil
  • add   Toppings ~ Organic tomatoes, onions, thinly sliced organic cabbage, organic lettuce, GF mustard, sour cream or what ever you desire.

  1. Combine all ingredients and make burger patties, brush with grape seed oil, this will prevent them from sticking on the barbecue
  2. Place on a heated barbecue and cook 7 - 10 minutes on each side (depending on the thickness) on medium heat with the lid closed
  3. At the end place buns on the barbecue and toast them about a minute on each side, if you are using cheese, place the cheese on the burgers at the same time.
  4. If you want to make the burgers in the oven, heat the oven to 400 F, place burgers on a non stick baking sheet and bake 10 – 15 minutes or until done, depending how thick you make them, if you are using cheese place cheese on the burgers at the end until the cheese melts
