Ingredients [?] Add all ingredients to Shopping List

  •   3 bottles samuel adams winter lager
  •   3 cups sugar
  •   3 cups dijion mustard
  •   1 pinch each
  •   cinnamon
  •   orange peel
  •   ginger
  •   1 14lb fresh ham, trimmed of excess fat and rind
  •   coarse salt
  •   freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. bring the three bottles of lager to a boil over medium-high heat. reduce.
  2. add sugar and mustard and the reduce to about 1/2
  3. add cinnamon, orange peel and ginger.
  4. let sit for 10 minutes
  5. generously baste ham with glaze, salt and pepper
  6. let marinate for at least three hours
  7. preheat ovento 375 degrees
  8. place the seasoned ham on a rack in roasting pan
  9. roast ham, uncovered, for 5 1/2 hours to internal temp is 160
