Tofu, Mushrooms and I don't miss the meat at all. This is my version I developed from the one on Allrecipes which lacked something. I found what it was for us. Now we have a healthy good tasting Stroganoff to make.

I was wandering thru my local Weis [I do a lot of wandering when I am in a supermarket or farmer's market] and ran into the cooking magazine section. This is the recipe which convinced me to buy Clean Eating magazine and after having looked thru it, I am glad I did. I actually subscribed.

The reaction of the Other Half when I made this was "I didn't think I liked plain Rhubarb Pie. This is better than my mother's. She didn't like it. She would have liked this one."

Nothing much to tell really. Used Great basic recipe for Buttermilk bread in the ABM from Breadmachine Digest and added to it and messed around a bit. You can find the original recipe on the Breadmachine Digest site if you want to try it. It's listed under Buttermilk Bread.

This recipe was from the Great Depression. That works nicely for fresh spring produce. Last time I made it I served it with Orange spice tempeh [modified Orange Spice Porkchop recipe] on a bed of Cellophane noodles with this on the side.

Ex Miller ut Phil. First this is NOT a mild recipe. I'm a pepper head and it almost burns my throat out. It also has a delayed kick. My reaction to my version of Miller's recipe was "Gee doesn't burn but sure tastes just like [popular BBQ chip]." Then it was "#%^$#^#$ GIVE ME THE MILK" Do NOT sub

How to make baking powder. Esp if you are like me and discover you have a large amount of Tartar [like one large jar and two small ones and one plastic spice tub]. If you want a cheap source for Cream of Tartar, check a local bulk store. From Edna Lewis originally.

We tried this yesterday and I was very impressed. This is my modified version not the original. If you want to see that one you need to truck on over to allrecipes and search Kidney Beans with Turnips. I can promise you, it won't taste like turnips when you make it. Everyone wanted to know what the white was in the dish because it tasted so good.

We simply fell in love with this version of the dish. The original was from Recipezaar. I discovered it makes a great sandwich spread cold.

This turned out fantastic. I juggled the original spices because I couldn't find the sage. I need to sort the large spice shelf I have. The smell of this soup in the house is heavenly.

One of my favorites. Can you tell it is cold today. Sigh. I need to start on tomorrows soup... hum.. It is very easy to low fat, see notes about steam fry and about no fat cream

The original that I know of was posted to Fat Free. It just makes a great bean pot for a lousy cold day. In fact I have the crockpot warming up right now.

My mother's idea of meatloaf was three large bottles of ketchup and some hamburger. It was part of the core of her cooking along with spaghetti and chili [all require 3 large bottles of ketchup]. After enough of this and lots of banquet frozen dinners that I got for myself as a kid, I learned to cook. This has lots of easy changes to make a different loaf.

Note the sauce can also be used as a salad dressing. Avoid the fat by using juice, water or broth in place of the oil. Simply add to consistancy but make right before serving.

I use this as a sub for Oriental Pancakes. It is also a great way of getting rid of all that summer zucchini. Eat plain by topping with salsa with a kick and some sour cream or plain yogurt. Gives you an additional protein boost in your meals too.
